Design Regions

The design region dictates the design codes to be used for loading and design in Tribli. The design region to be used for a given model may be selected in the file menu.

Australia

This is the default and most well-developed design region in Tribli. It uses AS/NZS standards for loading and design

Loading

The Australian region uses AS/NZS 1170.0 for load combinations. Ultimate (ULS) gravitional loads presented by Tribli, will be an envelope of the following load cases:

  • 1.35 * Dead
  • 1.2 * Dead + 1.5 * Live

Live load reduction is completed in accordance with AS/NZS 1170.1:2002 Section 3.4.2.

Concrete Design

The Australian region uses AS3600:2018 for all concrete design checks

Wind Loading

The Australian region uses AS/NZS 1170.2:2021 for wind load calculations.

Seismic Loading

The Australian region uses AS1170.4:2007 for earthquake load calculations.

Australia (UK Loading)

This is a transitional design region in place as we work on incorporating full Eurocode design capabilities. All concrete design, wind and seismic loading are as per the Australia region, however the loading codes are as outlined below.

Loading

The Australia (UK Loading) region uses BS EN 1990:2002 + A1:2005 for load combinations, in conjunction with the UK national annex. Ultimate (ULS) gravitional loads presented by Tribli, will be an envelope of the following load cases:

  • 1.35 * Dead + 1.05 * Live (Eq 6.10a)
  • 1.25 * Dead + 1.5 * Live (Eq 6.10b)

Live load reduction is completed in accordance with BS EN 1991-1-1:2002 Clause NA2.6 of the UK National Annex (replacing Section 6.3.1.2(11)).
